Press Registration & Information
SCAA’s 19th Annual Specialty Coffee Conference & Exhibition
May 4 – 7, 2007
Long Beach Convention Center, Long Beach, CA
Thank you for your interest in attending the largest worldwide event for the specialty coffee industry. Thousands of attendees from more than 40 countries will attend. Hundreds of companies will be showcased in the exhibition, and some 200 hours of educational sessions will cover everything specialty coffee.
Please Note:
- Press should pre-register for the conference via our Online Registration for press (below).
- We will contact you to verify credentials and to confirm press registration. Registration is not official until you have been notified by SCAA marketing and public relations staff.
- You may be asked to provide a business card, article clips or other documentation to verify press credentials.
- Only two press representatives will be allowed to receive a press pass per media outlet, unless otherwise approved.
- Once approved, the complimentary press pass allows you access to the following conference events: Keynote & Welcome Party; International & Retailer Morning Coffee Mixers; Educational Sessions Saturday through Monday; and the Exhibit Hall. Some ticketed events may require special registration. You will be notified via e-mail --- if approved for a pass --- about which events require special attention.
- You will be included on a press list distributed to exhibitors so that they may contact you about their company news.
- Once approved, press badges may only be picked up in the press room at the show, Room 104 Foyer. Please bypass the main registration lines. The press room will have exhibit press kits for your use, as well as SCAA representatives to assist you, if needed.

Your Press Badge
Your press badge will be available in the Press Room, Room 104 Foyer. Press Room hours are:
May 4 --- 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
May 5 --- 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
May 6 --- 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
May 7 --- 7 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The complimentary press pass allows you access to the following conference events: Keynote & Welcome Party; International & Retailer Morning Coffee Mixers; Educational Sessions Saturday through Monday; and the Exhibit Hall.
Attending Educational Sessions & Workshops
You are welcome to attend any of the educational sessions; however, the ticketed workshops can be attended only as an observer and only with the permission of the instructor. To guarantee a seat in a workshop, register and make payment in advance via the online registration for conference attendees or on-site at the Registration Desk.
How to Register for the IWCA Breakfast, CQI Luncheon and other ticketed events
You may e-mail SCAA PR at press@scaa.org to enquire about attending one of these events. Or, you may confirm by registering and paying in advance online via the online registration for conference attendees or on-site at the Registration Desk.
Video
You may not bring a video camera or video equipment onto the exhibit floor without an SCAA escort, press badge, and photo ID sticker. Request a staff escort and photo ID at the SCAA Press Room, Room 104 Foyer. Please do not take any photographs of booths or products without first obtaining permission from those being photographed.
Interviews
If you have any questions, would like to request an interview with an SCAA staff or board member, or need suggestions on who might be most knowledgeable on the topic you’re covering, please make a request in advance (press@scaa.org) or at the Press Room on site.
Conference News
Press kits from the SCAA and exhibitors will be available on site. SCAA Press Releases will be posted online at http://www.scaa.org/press_resources.asp.
